Beneath Zingaro's natural border
Golfo di Cofano
Views from the front garden
Outdoors: The four Limone Villas are virtually identical both indoors and out. Each has a patio running alongside it, leading to a terrace that is also accessed through vast french windows, and these open the entire front of the living room to a splendid sea view. Beyond the front terraces, which feature dining furniture that can be moved to the sheltered side-patio if necessary, are lawned front gardens with Mediterranean plants, external shower and sun loungers. A shady patio at the rear of the house provides space dedicated to the downstairs double bedroom, while the upstairs double bedroom benefits from its own solarium, complete with two sun loungers and a parasol. This solarium shares the same splendid sweeping view of Golfo di Cofano with the front garden and terrace. Framed by Monte di Cofano at its western extremity and the cliffs that precede San Vito Lo Capo at the eastern, the expanse in between includes green fields leading down to sandy beaches, and cattle that lazily graze while clunking their traditional bells. Villa Levante differs slightly from its three neighbours as it benefits from a larger enclosed garden, stretching around one side of the villa and featuring a rockery. At the foot of this rock garden, the tiled patio features wrought iron garden furniture and a parasol. Living area, kitchen & dining table
Indoors: Spacious and tastefully furnished within, each of the Limone Villas consists of two double bedrooms and a very large lounge with a double sofa-bed, dining table and an enclosed kitchen corner. The upstairs bedroom, which opens onto the solarium, enjoys its own en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The downstairs bedroom opens onto the rear patio and has the villa’s main bedroom next door to it. The well-equipped kitchen is separated from the rest of the main dining area by a tiled counter top with gas hobs. The dining area’s furniture combines aesthetic value with practicality – for example, the dining table is ornate yet built from solid wood - while the glass-fronted cupboard contains all the crockery and utensils that you might need. Surrounding area: The villas are situated just outside the hamlet of Macari, which nestles beneath the crest of the ridge that borders the Zingaro Nature Reserve. While Macari has its own mini-market and a restaurant, guests of the villas will benefit from the proximity of San Vito Lo Capo, a beachside resort just 3km away and comprising all the tourist amenities that visitors might need. The beach at San Vito Lo Capo is amongst the best in all of Italy, featuring an expanse of sparkling golden sand, accentuated by a rich variety in shades of blue and punctuated by the immense bulk of Monte Monaco. The town itself is very lively: Villa Savoia is lined by bars, gelaterias and restaurants and runs the length of the town down to the beach, where 5 enormous palm trees signpost the end of tarmac and beginning of sand. Guests at the Limone Villas will benefit from the daytime facilities and shops at San Vito Lo Capo, and may choose to take a short trip into the town centre to experience a delicious evening meal. On the other hand, Macari is sufficiently removed from the nightlife to ensure a silent night. In addition to all the attractions of the fantastic coastline, guests are also conveniently located for trips inland. The mountain top town of Erice is just a 30 minute drive away, while the vast nature reserves of Zingaro and Cofano are much closer, each offering tranquillity and natural beauty in the extreme. Sightseeing: Zingaro & Cofano reserves, Erice, Palermo, Egadi, Castelmare del Golfo Italian Islands Insight: Each major room in the Limone Villas has some outdoor space that it can call its own and while the villas are furnished to a very high standard, this focus on outdoor living is a reflection of the area’s natural beauty. The shady side terrace
The villas’ peaceful location makes them an ideal choice for both couples and families who want somewhere quiet to return to after a day or night out in the nearby popular beach resort. Car hire is highly recommended as the short drive into San Vito Lo Capo would be too long a walk, and driving will also open up the spectacular region for exploration. The helpful owner, who designed, built and furnished the villas from scratch after buying this incredible piece of land, has successfully created four beautiful villas that offer plenty of comforts both indoors and out. We are sure that they will prove a very popular addition to our collection. Relax on the terrace
