Marvellous garden with parking & view
Sun terrace next to dining area
Outdoors: While the bulk of Tavolara grabs your eyes’ attention, details closer to home merit focus too: Casa Tavolara has a lovely garden. The carefully-tended lawn is bordered by flowers and is punctuated by a dwarf palm and a big rock that has been shaped by the Sardinian winds. This is a lovely place to sunbathe, and when you overheat you can retreat to the cooler terrace – shaded and on a lower level – to sip a drink and cool down. When you are ready to take a short drive to any one of the area’s fantastic coves and beaches, your car will not be an oven. The casa has two off-street parking spaces with covers to keep the sun off.
Indoors: A fresh breeze often rises up the hillside from the sea, and this helps ensure that Casa Tavolara remains fairly cool. Upon entering from the terrace, an indoor dining table offers an alternative to eating al fresco and the living area beyond includes a sofa-bed. There is a smart kitchen corner along one side of the room, and a short corridor leads to two double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. The third bedroom connects to the dining area but has its own patio doors opening onto the sun terrace, enabling guests who stay there to enjoy a fantastic view from the comfort of their bed. There is a large second shower room too. Throughout Casa Tavolara, the standard of furnishings and décor is maintained at a high level. En-suite shower room

Surrounding area: Casa Tavolara is perched on the slopes of the Monte Contros hills above the lively resort of Porto San Paolo. A few minutes drive down the hillside will reveal all that this village has to offer: ice cream parlours boasting homemade ice cream of unique and extravagant flavours, cocktail bars with amazing creations filled with fresh fruits, a wide range of places to eat from bars & cafes offering tasty snacks to excellent restaurants supplying the best that the sea has to offer. Tavolara - from Porto Taverna beach
Down by the sea are two small sandy beaches, waterside trattorias and a little port offering excursions to the nearby islands so you can get up close to the view you will have come to love. You can hire your own boats or make use of the renowned diving school to discover some of the underwater relics from a shipwreck. Porto San Paolo also offers conveniences such as a cash point and supermarkets so you are not obliged to leave the resort but if you do there are a whole host of superb sandy beaches be discovered nearby, each more beautiful than the last. Without driving further than 15 minutes in either direction you will find marvellous coves and wonderful stretches of coast to suit all tastes. Admire garden and view during meal
